Privacy policy
This policy explains how [Dalloway legal entity name and registered address — to be completed before launch] (“Dalloway”, “we”) handles personal information. It covers two groups: restaurants and their staff who use Dalloway, and guests who make reservations, call, or text a restaurant that uses Dalloway.
Guests: we work for the restaurant
When you book with a restaurant that uses Dalloway, the restaurant decides what information it collects and how it uses it. We process that information on the restaurant's behalf, as its service provider. Questions about how a particular restaurant uses your information should go to that restaurant; we'll help them answer.
Information processed for a reservation can include:
- Your name, mobile number and, if you give it, email address.
- Reservation details: date, time, party size, occasion, seating requests and notes you provide, including allergies or dietary needs.
- Messages you send to the restaurant by text, and recordings, transcripts and summaries of calls answered by the AI host.
- Your visit history with that restaurant, and feedback you choose to give after a visit.
- Technical information from the booking page, such as IP address and browser type, used for security and abuse prevention.
Each restaurant's guest information is kept separate from every other restaurant's. We do not sell guest information, we do not share it between restaurants, and we do not use it to advertise to you.
Calls and AI
Restaurants may use our AI host to answer calls and texts. Calls answered by the AI host may be recorded and transcribed so the restaurant can review what was booked and follow up. We use third-party providers for speech, language and telephony; they process information only to provide those services to us.
Text messages
Mobile numbers are used to send reservation confirmations, reminders, waitlist offers and replies to your messages. Reply STOP to opt out at any time. See our SMS terms. Mobile numbers and opt-in consent are never shared with third parties for their marketing.
Restaurants and staff
For restaurant accounts we collect business contact details, staff names, work emails and roles, billing information, and records of activity in the product (such as who changed a reservation) for security and support.
How long we keep information
We keep reservation and guest information for as long as the restaurant keeps its account, or as the restaurant directs. When a restaurant closes its account, it can export its data, and we delete it within 90 days unless the law requires us to keep it longer.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Each restaurant's records are isolated at the database level. Staff access is limited by role and logged.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information. Contact the restaurant you booked with, or email us at hello@getdalloway.com and we'll route your request.
